On August 18th club members received their newsletter email notification. In it were three files that you should open, printout, and review. The first was a 5-page September newsletter. The second was a copy of the Proposed Bylaw Changes (highlighted) that we will be discussing and voting on over the next couple of meetings. The third file was a single Proposed Bylaw Change that covers proposed changes to our monthly club meeting time and location. One submitted by the Board and other by George Mena.
Most importantly the board is mailing Absentee Ballot forms which should reach your homes in about a week. Members who cannot attend the voting phase meeting can submit either an 'Inclusive Absentee Ballot' or a 'Line Item Absentee Ballot'. There is also a self-addressed stamped envelope to return your ballot but it must be postmarked on or before September 24, 2015. Please print out a copy of our current bylaw (link at bottom of website's Home Page) and proposed bylaws (newsletter link). Read, review, and compare them before voting. See Carl Lindou if you have any questions. Posted...2015-08-19...erb / Updated ...2015-08-25..erb

Corona RC Club is now apart of the vast machine that is social networking. Specifically Twitter and Facebook. Why? You ask. Communication with each other and other local clubs is the answer. Make sure you log on and like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/coronarcclub. You can follow us on twitter @coronarcclub. The idea of both of these mediums is to put up to date info about the field for your benefit. For example a couple of weeks ago the field was closed because of a fatal car accident. This was "tweeted" and posted on the website. So if you had been following us and received this tweet you could have saved a trip for yourself. You do not need to have a smartphone to receive tweets, you can go to www.twitter.com and have the CRCC tweet sent to your phone as a text message. If you are interested in being involved in sending tweets out on a regular basis and are at the field often, send me an email and I will get you set up to be a part of the crcc twitter info base.
