The club has been able to secure a space for a static display for the March ARB Air Fest event being held this weekend on May 3rd and 4th. The gates open to the public at 8:00am and close at 6:30pm. Parking and admission are free.
The club will not be performing at this show. We are only doing a static display and promotion of the club and hobby. We will need people to help with this event since its going to be an all day event. If you come to the show and can spare an hour or two so those who'll be at the booth all day can take a break, which would be greatly appreciated.
Bringing planes for the display will be difficult given the security involved. We as a club are only given about 5 passes for cars to drive into the event for unloading and loading purposes. Those with passes will only be able to drive into the event no later than 6:30am. The passes aren't even going to be issued to the club until Friday, May 2nd. So to get around this problem, Brent Peterson will be at the Carl's Jr. Restaurant from 5:45am to 6:15am at the corner of Cactus Ave and Elsworth Street with his trailer. This location is more or less across the street from the Air force base.
You may bring your plane(s) for the display at this time and location. Brent shall haul all the planes in and the trailer will be used as a safe place to store the planes overnight. You must retrieve your plane by the end of Sunday. Brent doesn't want to be responsible for the care of everyone's plane. The limited number of passes will be given to those with multiple planes only.

George Mena shot some excellent video of the 2008 Fun Fest T-28 Spot Landing Competition. Even though it was really windy, everyone who was involved tried their hardest to hit the bullseye. Thank you to all those who participated in the event.
