Effective immediately our NEW monthly club meeting location will be CARROWS RESTAURANT at 11120 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA. The restaurant is in the southeast corner of the Magnolia and La Sierra intersection just seconds from our old location. Our first meeting at Carrows will be held this coming November 6th, election night. The meeting area is in the back of the restaurant. Hope to see everyone next month at CARROWS! 2014-10-22.
We are now holding our fourth Silent Auction (#4). The airplane is a kit built Sig J3 Piper club with floats. The build on this kit was done by club member Bob Moore and he did a super job on it. 1/5 scale with an approximate 72” wingspan. The engine is an OS .40 and also includes servos, and a radio. And don’t forget it comes with floats. Visit our website to start the bidding process. Minimum opening bid is $100. The winner will be announced at the November meeting. I have only one photo for now but plan to add several more after the weekend. Visit the Forum for the photos. Don't let this one get away from you!
Club officer elections are this coming November. If you are interested in running for office you or another person must submit your name at either the October or November club meeting. Candidates must be present at the club meeting to personally accept the nomination. Candidates will be able to submit a Candidate Statement for publication and must follow guidelines for doing so. Please refer to our club By-Laws for additional election information, duties and responsibilities of club officers, etc.

On Tuesday 6/24 the Riverside City Council voted and unanimously passed to have the La Sierra Land Development proposal on the November 4th ballot. If this initiative passes it gives way to develop the land that our club now uses as its flying area. It is important to attend club meetings over the next several months if you are at all interested in this issue and want to be involved. See the following club website Forum posting and especially its attachment for related information. (There are other club forum posts too so please keep yourselves informed!) http://www.coronarcclub.com/kunena/2-welcome-mat/243-land-proposal-passed-city-counci-06-24.html#451
