Didn't know where else in the forums to post this:

61" wings span.  Red and White.

http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HAN4100

Distinguishing characteristic: No cowling so motor is visible.  2" x 2" can. All black with a little white sticker labeled '1912 1.5Y'.

Angry  Frickin thieves.  I don't expect to see it again, just need a vent.  Cry

Sorry to hear about your loss.  Where and when was it stolen from?  That was a Neu motor right?

The plane was in the back seat of my car.  Two wings and the fuse. The toolbox was on the front passenger floor.  Both box and plane gone.

Nothing else was taken.  My car was unlocked but not damaged.  Nothing else was disturbed.

Hit and run it seems. The tools were worthwhile to the average the thief.  The plane, however, is probably in a trash bin by know.

That's a bummer.

Let's all keep in mind that as times get tougher, everything looks good to a theif.

Did this happen out at the field?

No Chilie.  This is simply a case of someone breaking into my car which was parked outside my home sometime last friday night.

The field would be the last place I would expect my plane to be stolen.

This really sux.  It seems like this is becoming more common lately.  Let's all keep our eyes open.  If this shows up at any swapmeets, be prepared to notify authorities.  We need to stop these jerks.

Do you have a picture of it you can post?  It might help in identifying it

I never took a picture of it, Brian.

The plane is this one:

http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HAN4100

Except there is no cowling because I could fit it over the motor mount.  Which looks like this:

http://www.electrifly.com/miscproducts/gpmg1265-2.jpg

But extended and with a NEU 1912-1.5Y motor mounted inside.

I am sure it is not the only Hanger 9 Pulse 40 around.  But I figure mine was the only one with that mount and motor.  So if you saw a pulse with that mount and motor, I am sure its mine.

But like I said; I doubt the thief knows enough to know what to do with what he stole.  Ergo, almost 0% chance of recovery.
