No pictures.  The burn area is behind the field, no damage at all.

I just went by the field. The road from the gate to the downhill did an excellent job as a fire break.  From the field, you almost wouldn't even know there was a fire.  The far hill to the northwest was pretty black.  Overall, Danny was correct.  There was no damage to the field, shade structures, frequency board or port-a-potty.  Probably was just the cost of a new lock on the gate, as I suspect the Fire Dept. cut it off.  The field is "Open for Business"!   Grin

Special Section:  Inland Wildfires

A brush fire burned 20 acres Friday in northwest Riverside but was brought under control in just over three hours, a Riverside Fire Department spokesman said.

The blaze north of Arlington Avenue near the Norco city limits scorched about 20 acres of grass and brush near the Hidden Valley Wildlife Area north of Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Ninety firefighters from the Riverside, Norco, Corona and Cal Fire/Riverside County fire departments battled the blaze, reported at 2:59 p.m., said Riverside fire Division Chief John Martinez.
